Spray Dryers & Encapsulators

The BÜCHI Spray Dryers are designed to visualize your Spray Drying process for a wide range of applications in various fields such as pharma, material sciences, chemistry, food, feed, beverages, etc. It allows working with aqueous media, with acids, organic solvents or mixtures of aqueous and organic solvents in a safe way. During the drying process the liquid media is dispersed into fine droplets which are subsequently dried in a cylinder using a heated gas flow. The reachable particle size depends on the technology of dispersion. The Mini Laboratory Spray dryer is using a spray technology with gas, which ensures a high throughput. The Nano Spray Dryer is using piezotechnology with a steel membrane, which generate precisely controlled micro droplets.

The Nano Buchi Spray Dryer is designed for small samples (down to 2 mL or 200 mg) and small particle sizes (300 nm to 5 µm), adjustable in narrow size distributions.
